Candle Color Correspondences
In a few minutes hubby and I will be off to have lunch and do a bit of planned shopping, and I intend to pick up some yellow and orange candles for some spell work I intend to do. I already have green candles on hand.
So, what’s the big deal about candle colors? It is an extra “boost” when certain colors have certain meanings to you. Different traditions use different color correspondences, but here are mine:
- Red: Fire Element, energy, strength, courage, passion, romantic love
- Orange: Goals, motivation, business & legal affairs, action, self-esteem
- Yellow: Air Element, intelligence, learning, communication, creativity
- Green: Earth Element, money, growth, fertility, luck, herbal/plant magick
- Blue: Water Element, peace, healing, intuition, emotion
- Purple: Spirit Element, psychic ability, wisdom, spiritual development
- Brown: endurance, animal magick, home & hearth
- Black: protection, banishment, power, ward setting
- White: purity, cleansing, truth, spirituality
- Pink: friendship, emotional healing
As I mentioned, different paths may have different correspondences for the colors. A fun exercise: If I am using green, orange, and yellow candles what am I working on?

Maybe this is just my drawing from the DFR side, but I’d guess you were working on a spell to increase your intelligent creativity to succeed at your money-related goals.
Dead on, MM
You’d make a very decent warrior witch! LOL
Over the years, I have found that MY color associations rarely match any particular “path” - but then again, neither do I…go figger *grin*
For me, green orange & yellow would indicate a working that encompassed not only money issues, bit also a need for calming - maybe to de-stress someone (myself..? lol) about a money situation.

I was going to say - a creative way to bring more money to a business? Or insight/intelligence in handling a business or legal matter that would result in a lot of money coming in.
Just a couple of thoughts.
